Cambodian PM continues to recall multilateralism to resolve global crisis

Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister, Hun Sen, remind the international community of the need for a multilateralism that gives priority to convergences in addressing challenges.

This statement was made on the occasion of PM delivery via a video from Phnom Penh to Second BRICS Political Parties, Think Tanks and Civil Society Forum on Thursday evening 19 May.

The Premier as the chair of ASEAN in 2022, urged ASEAN and the BRICS, as well as the entire international community, to redouble their efforts to restore multilateralism, prioritizing unity in resolving issues. Challenges.

« We need to continue attaching great importance to the rules-based international system with the United Nations at its core which enables cooperation rather confrontation to be promoted. PM Hun Sen urged ASEAN member States to play a more active role in building a brighter future for Asia and beyond. The Premier believe ASEAN’s partners, including the BRICS countries, for support to ensure the success of Cambodia’s ASEAN Chairmanship this year for the interest of the people in Southeast Asia and beyond.
